This was my absolute favorite time of year for growing up when I was a Girl Scout. Cookie sales!!
This year was my daughter's first time to experience it and she has had a blast. She saw all the prizes available and immediately wanted to try to sell 500 boxes. We sat and talked about it and decided that 250 was probably a more realistic number since she had never sold before.
This is one of the many reasons why I love Girl Scouts especially in today's society where it seems like everywhere you turn there is something or someone that is trying to advertise for kids to grow up faster!
So needless to say Miss Taylor sold 179 (and then some more since then) and was absolutely proud of herself for selling that many. I LOVE how this teaches girls so many great skills!

OMG!!! WOW! That is very impressive. When I was a girl scout, it was a challenge for me to sell 30. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYes I remember how excited I was to sell 100 boxes!!
DeleteGood Job! This was also my daughter's first time selling. She did not get a chance to sell when she was Brownie. She loved the booth sales...why?...because after every booth sale, we would go for a snack. She did pretty good this year. However, I was so happy to move all those cookies out of my front room. ReplyDeleteIsn't it so beautiful to see the excitement in their eyes as they sell the cookies! Every time my daughter sold another box I swear her smile got bigger! After their last booth when they reached their goal they went for frozen yogurt! Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to check out your site!
